Delete your Zählerstand account
This translation is provided for convenience; the German version is legally binding. Read the German version
When you delete it, we immediately remove your account, all sign-in methods and sessions and the encrypted backup of your meters. The meters and readings on your devices are kept. A subscription continues through the App Store or Google Play and is cancelled there.
In the app
- Open Zählerstand and tap “More” at the bottom.
- Choose “Account” and then “Delete account”.
- Confirm with “Delete account”. If you are signed in with Apple on iPhone, you briefly confirm with Apple so that we can revoke the sign-in.
Without the app
Don’t have the app any more? Enter your account’s email address on the deletion page. We send you a code that you use to confirm the deletion.
Signed in with Apple and chose “Hide My Email”? Then enter the relay address (…@privaterelay.appleid.com) or delete the account in the app.
What is deleted – and what remains
- Deleted immediately:
account ID, email address, sign-in methods (Apple, Google, email) and sessions on all devices
the encrypted backup of your meters, readings, tariffs, reminders and meter changes
open requests to add a device
We revoke a sign-in with Apple at Apple. - Up to 30 days: in the encrypted backup copies of the server; after that they are overwritten.
- Remains:
a deletion marker without reference to you: time, method (app, web or deletion rule) and whether Apple was revoked
the meters on your devices, until you delete them there
purchases with Apple or Google according to their rules
